Testimonials

After winning a 4hr drum recording experience as a raffle prize from the Nate Smith Masterclass we sponsored through Graham Russell Drums.

Drummer Harry Younger made the trip up from Portsmouth to learn about drum recording and how he could apply this to his own studio. Here’s what he had to say about his experience.

A Berklee College of Music scholarship recipient and Berklee alumni, Louie has played with some of the world’s best musicians including:

Mike Stern, Tim Lefebvre, Mitch Forman, Gary Husband, Janek Gwizdala, Bob Franceschini, Jason Rebello, Ruslan Sirota, Nelson Rangell, Bob Reynolds and many more.

I’ve loved working with Louie and so pleased to see his career develop to where it is now.

After meeting Paul on a ‘Mix With The Masters’ residential course at Studio La Fabrique in the south of France, we immediately hit it off and became good friends.

Paul is a great recording and mix engineer in his own right, so when he was looking to improve his drum recording set up, I was only more than happy to help.

Our Next Masterclass

Darren Williams - Drum Recording Masterclass

Tuesday 17th September 2019 @ The Den Studio - £99.00 per person (Limited Availability)

You will discover how you can:

With more and more records being made remotely, drummers are now required to be able to record drums more than ever before. Record companies, artists and producers are now expecting drummers to be able to provide this service as part of the ever changing way of making records!

Failure to have this together puts you at a real disadvantage when it comes to working with artists and producers, so it’s essential you know how to get the best from your equipment as possible to ensure you get the gig, get paid and above all, get called back.

With that in mind, we’ve created a 3.5hr workshop that will give you all the tools you need to make the best recordings possible.
